Great career move to join this lively, fun-loving, supportive in-house team in the travel industry that is looking for a PR & Social Media Executive with up to two years’ experience. You would work closely with the PR Manager to deliver the PR strategy and take ownership of the social media channels.

A passion for travel would be useful but not essential so consumer brand and lifestyle pr experience and a good track record in generating media coverage and producing content across all channels is what’s needed.

The Role:

  • Writing press releases and pitches
  • Responding to and engaging with media enquiries
  • Taking ownership of social media channels and manage the output and establish the feed as a trusted source of news and information for clients, partners and media
  • Collaborate with travel bloggers and brands
  • Organising group and individual press trips
  • Attending meetings with journalists, influencers and PR contacts
  • Deputising for the PR Manager on occasion to represent the PR function at internal and external meetings
  • Attending content, marketing and other internal meetings to ascertain PR stories and social media opportunities
  • Monitoring news sources for story ideas and angles

Skills:

  • 2+ years PR experience in-house or at a PR agency
  • Passion for travel
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A self-starter and team player, adept at working collaboratively
  • ​Proven experience of multi-tasking and handling diverse workloads
  • ​Positive and confident with a can-do attitude
  •  Good organisational skills and attention to detail
