Brand new in house PR Manager role with this global leader that supports investment decisions worldwide. Offering fully flexible working (max two days in the office), this global company is a highly recognised and trusted source of data and research that has seen enormous growth in the past year through a number of acquisitions and mergers. Working with fund managers and distributors they are uniquely positioned in the investment industry to provide data to fund managers, life and pension providers, banks, insurers and financial advisers.

The PR & Corporate Comms Manager will develop and execute the corporate comms strategy with  senior business leaders. A fully autonomous role, you would be responsible for driving thought leadership and key PR activities, all media relations and external communication messaging and building the corporate brand. Headquartered in London and with offices in Europe and Asia Pacific, this is an opportunity to be a strategic and integral part of the team as well as play a hands-on role,

The Role

  • Develop and execute media campaigns across all channels
  • Working with Marketing team putting in place a plan for brand alignment and awareness.
  • Develop and implement a global corporate media relations strategy that supports the corporate brand and messages and integrates fully with marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Own the external communications plan for company M&A activity and other corporate comms
  • Draft written materials and prepare presentations for external and internal audiences including employees, stakeholders and the public
  • Liaise with internal spokespeople/stakeholders across the global offices to develop whitepapers, research papers and reports
  • Manage PR freelancers across Europe to develop stories and place locally
  • Run the press office function, being first point of contact for inbound enquiries, data and commentary requests.
  • Support the wider marketing/design and social media teams
  • Develop a comprehensive awards/3rd party endorsement programme
  • Be able to act as a corporate spokesperson
  • Be in the know on the relevant media landscape, develop and maintain strong relationships with key journalists and opinion leaders
  • Proactively, review media attention, follow up news stories in wider market
  • Support the internal communication plan

Skills

  • 5+ years relevant experience, knowledge of retail investment markets/funds helpful
  • Strong written/oral communications, research and proofreading skills
  • Clear writing and subbing skills and the ability to pick up and relay investment research to audiences who may not be familiar with financial jargon
  • Track record in developing and managing national media campaigns, external agencies and partnerships
  • Ability to develop high-impact presentations and talking points for senior level executives
  • Strong leadership, organisational and project management skills
