The Role

  • Managing a diverse range of clients across tech, dot coms, enterprise, global forums
  • Leading client campaigns and being responsible for delivery against client objectives
  • Team management and development
  • Supporting with day-to-day running of client accounts
  • Strong media relations, pitching to National and Business media and proactively finding opportunities and angles, writing and distributing press releases and opinion editorials
  • Development and implementation of media relations campaigns around a rapidly changing news agenda
  • Development of high quality content across all channels
  • Assisting with development and management of social media platforms and content
  • Support with event planning and event execution
  • Involvement in the business development strategy – identifying leads, drafting proposals and joining pitch teams
  • Co-ordination of client events
  • Working with and motivating high calibre and intellectually stimulating teams and managing and supporting junior team members

Candidate specifications

  • Strong corporate and/or b2b communications backgrounds and preferable in the tech sector
  • A background and interest in technology, business enterprise, entrepreneurship, global issues, Financial Services, SMEs would be beneficial
  • Good understanding of thought leadership, corporate reputation and the concept of client business development
  • Strong in media relations and digital campaigns
  • Excellent editorial and written skills
  • Strong project manager
  • Willingness to push the envelope and challenge traditional approaches
  • Interest in business issues and the impact the political landscape has on the commercial world
  • Confident in attending and driving client meetings with the support of campaign directors
  • The ability to work in a team and support and help to direct more junior members
  • Good relationship builder across with clients and media contacts
  • The confidence to client interface at all levels
